Anyone can be injured. It can happen to anyone at anytime and sometimes no matter how careful you are, an injury can happen when you least expect it. If you have ever worked in a restaurant, then you have probably seen a co-worker get burnt in the kitchen or saw someone slip because of a spill on the floor.
Accidents like this are common but no one wants it to happen to them. No matter where you work, it is the job of your employer to see that your work area is safe and that you have the equipment to protect yourself when working. This is true for those who work with machinery. If someone does get hurt, the employer must see to it that that person gets the medical attention that is needed. If you have had an accident at work, you know what I am talking about.
Not all employers are the same and this means that some will be concerned with your injury and other might not. It might be that your employer will not take the time to fill out the Worker’s Compensation paperwork, which leaves you waiting to get your pay while off work. This of course is not fair, but this is also not an uncommon occurrence.
